Reviews
Is this place worth the trip from NM? Is the hype all that? HELL YA IT IS this is the Mexican spot in Las Vegas, food with enormous amounts of food appetizers to match! Drinks that are hard and yummy. The birthday girl enjoyed the attention! We sat at the bar area and she took care of us. Remember to tip a little extra as she is doing bar stuff and taking care of you. Come eat and leave w a smile
Food: Authentic Mexican dishes for everybody; tasty to satisfy your cravings Service: attentive staff Ambience: family own decor Overall: Nice Mexican vibe with hand made tortillas
Jason the bus boy spilled water on me acidentally & profusely apologizes he was such a sweet kid it was only water so no big deal. Pretty decent mexican food nothing crazy traditional but good flavor and portions. Always nice to get complimentary chips and salsa. When we went after the lunch rush hour it was pretty quiet inside.
This is my 3rd time being here - and it's a great spot. Free chips and salsa. Authentic place. Loved the fajitas. Ice cold beer, plenty of parking. And there's a street light going into Buffalo so don't need to worry about traffic or having to go in any direction. That always makes it easier to get in and out of places. Service has always been good. We sit at the bar. There's no gaming here, which I prefer. Playing authentic Mexican music. People are speaking Spanish, I love it! It can get very busy during "normal" busy hours and I've heard the brunch is good. There's a separate room where the bar is, and a separate room for the "dining" area. Never sat on dining side but I love the vibes of the bar side. Have a few TVs if you're watching a game. Not sure what channels they all have. Overall great local spot and we'll be back again.
First time here. Decided to meet some friends for dinner and they chose this place. I must say that it was a great choice. I had the steak fajitas, an ice tea and a Modelo. I also asked for habanero salsa for some heat. I'm always one to "complain" about charging $3.50 for habanero salsa, sorry but I just think it's ridiculous. It's definitely a high margin item for them because it's about the same as guacamole, which has costlier ingredients. Anyway I don't actually complain, but I do give them a sarcastic hard time about it. That said, great salsa! After the main course we had sopapillas, which were good but the best sopapillas in town according to my opinion is at Leticia's inside the Santa Fe. My evening was pretty good and the food and company was top notch. Treat yourself to this place, let me know if you're as satisfied as me.
